Clément Dirié is an art historian, critic (AICA), independent curator, and editor specialising in contemporary art. After studying history and art history at the Sorbonne, he published key research on Iris Clert, including Iris Clert. L’Astre ambigu de l’avant-garde (Hermann, 2021) and the facsimile edition of iris.time unlimited (Semiose, 2022). He joined JRP|Ringier in 2009, becoming editorial director of JRP|Editions in 2016, and teaches editorial practice in the Master’s programme L’art contemporain et son exposition at Paris-Sorbonne. Dirié has written for numerous publications (Le Quotidien de l’art, Beaux Arts Magazine, Le Journal des Arts, Code Magazine, France Culture, etc.) and since 2021 he has led the “Expologie” oral history series at the Bourse de Commerce–Pinault Collection. As a curator, he has organised exhibitions in Paris, Lyon, Lausanne, New York, and Geneva, including the Martin Barré retrospective at MAMCO (2019–2020). He serves on the editorial committee of AWARE and on the board of Crédac.
