Erling Kagge (b. 1963) is a Norwegian writer, adventurer, art collector, and editor. After studying law, he briefly studied philosophy at the University of Cambridge. Kagge is the first person to reach all three of the world’s extreme points – the North and South Pole and Mount Everest – on foot. In 1996, he founded the publishing house Kagge Forlag in Oslo. Kagge is also an art collector. His book publications include “A Poor Collector’s Guide to Buying Great Art” (2015) and “Silence in the Age of Noise” (2017).
