Gion Caminada (b. 1957) is a Swiss architect and lecturer. After an apprenticeship as a carpenter, he studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule and at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) in Zurich. Caminada founded an architectural firm in his home village Vrin. Since 2020, he is Professor for Architecture and Design at ETH Zurich. Caminada is known for his minimalist style that combines modern design with traditional Swiss methods and materials such as wood.
