Pacôme Thiellement addresses the dualism of good and evil, of light and darkness, which determines all being in nature. He refers to Gnosticism and the theory of Mani, a Mesopotamian prophet of late antiquity. Mani had described nature as a place of permanent fight. A harmony between man and nature had never existed. Thiellement draws a connection to the TV series “Twin Peaks” by American film director David Lynch, where the fight between the contrary principles in nature is unmasked in the course of the three seasons.
