The 2018 edition of E.A.T. titled “Side Country Side” traced an arc from legendary land art projects, megastructures and urban agglomerations to museums in remote regions. Phenomena such as the flight from country to city, robots in the landscape, the depiction of country life in literature, contemporary landscape architecture, and the gentrification of the landscape and its inhabitants were discussed.
Curated by Daniel Baumann, Bice Curiger, Hans Ulrich Obrist, and Philip Ursprung.
