Adam Szymczyk (b. 1970) is a Polish art historian and curator. He studied Art History in Warsaw and took part in a curatorial training at the art center De Appel in Amsterdam. From 2003 to 2014 he was Director of the Kunsthalle Basel. In 2017, Szymczyk was Director of Documenta 14 in Kassel and Athens. Since 2020, he has been working as a curator at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam
