Alexander Kluge

Alexander Kluge (b. 1932) is a German filmmaker, writer, philosopher, and lawyer. He studied History, Law, and Music in Marburg and Frankfurt am Main; he received his doctorate in Law in 1956. Kluge became known in the 1960s and 1970s as one of the most influential representatives of New German Cinema. In 1987, he founded the television production company Development Company for Television Program mbH (DCTP) and produed many interviews with German entertainer Helge Schneider. He writes fictional short stories as well as scientific and philosophical publications.
