Asma Barchiche is an art educator and curator based in Geneva and Paris. She is currently the co-director of the independent art space forde and Head of the Education Department at the Centre d'Art Contemporain Genève. She co-founded les chichas de la pensée, an itinerant cultural program that has been hosted at venues such as the Centre Georges Pompidou, MUCEM Marseille, Lafayette Anticipations, Fondation Donwahi Abidjan, Villa Medici in Rome, and the Kamel Lazaar Foundation in Tunis. Trained at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris, with a focus on Arts, Languages, and Literatures, she centers transmission and learning strategies in her educational and curatorial work. Her experience spans multiple cultural programs across Europe and the UK, including the Mahmoud Darwish Chair at BOZAR in Brussels. She regularly writes for artists and exhibitions.
