Clément Dirié is an art historian, art critic (AICA), independent curator, and editor specializing in contemporary art. After studying history and art history at the Sorbonne, he published key research on Iris Clert, including Iris Clert. L’Astre ambigu de l’avant-garde (Hermann, 2021) and the facsimile edition of iris.time unlimited (Semiose, 2022). He is the Editorial Director of JRP|Editions which is publishing in 2026 Mai-Thu Perret’s new reference monograph entitled Grammar & Glamour. Additionally, he teaches editorial practice in the Master’s programme "L’art contemporain et son exposition" at Paris-Sorbonne. Dirié has collaborated with numerous publications (Beaux Arts Magazine, Code Magazine, France Culture, etc.) and he has led the “Expologie” oral history series at the Bourse de Commerce–Pinault Collection in 2021–2023. As a curator, he has organized exhibitions in Paris, Lyon, Lausanne, New York, and Geneva, including the Martin Barré retrospective at MAMCO (2019–2020) and the projects conceived by Sheila Hicks (2016), Ana Jotta (2022), and Yto Barrada (2023) for the Festival d’Automne à Paris. He serves on the editorial committee of AWARE.
