Daan Couzijn

Daan Couzijn is a Dutch artist based in Paris and Bern. After having studied singing at the Conservatory of Music in Rotterdam and performance art at the Institute of Performative Arts in Maastricht, Couzijn obtained his MA degree in Fine Art & Design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. His work was shown internationally in institutions such as Musée du Louvre in Paris, Haus Der Kulturen Der Welt in Berlin and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, among others. Couzijn is currently represented by PLUS-ONE Gallery in Antwerp. His practice was recognised by the Mondriaan Fund when he received the Artist Start grant in 2021. In addition to his artistic practice, he serves on the advisory committee of both the Creative Industries Fund NL and the Amarte Foundation, and is active as a guest curator, university lecturer, and project coordinator for Engadin Art Talks.
