Daniel Baumann is a Swiss art historian, curator, and writer. He was was a contributing writer for Exhibition #1, Kunst Bulletin, Parkett, and Spike Art Quarterly and has co-curated the touring exhibition ‘SNOWCA$H’. Baumann received the Swiss Award for Best Curator in 2006 and was appointed Special Advisor for Frieze in 2009. Baumann worked as a curator for the Adolf Wölfli Foundation at the Kunstmuseum Bern and the Carnegie International in Pittsburgh, and has been the curator and director of the Kunsthalle Zurich until March 2025.
