Eleni Chatzi (b. 1981) is a Greek civil engineer, researcher, and Full Professor and Chair of Structural Mechanics and Monitoring at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. She is the current President of the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE). She works in the domain of self-aware infrastructure, with her work recognized with an ERC Startling Grant (2015), the 2020 Walter L. Huber Research prize, the 2020 EASD Junior Research Prize in the area of Computational Structural Dynamics, the 2023 JM Ko Award for excellence in structural engineering, and the 2024 SHM Person of the Year award.
