Isabel Lewis (b. 1981) is an American artist, choreographer, and lecturer of Dominican origin. She spent her childhood on an artificial island off the southwest coast of Florida. Lewis studied Literature, Dance, and Philosophy. She worked as a dancer and choreographer in New York before moving to Berlin in 2009. Since 2021, she is the first female Professor of Performative Arts at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (HGB) Leipzig. Her collaborative work focuses on affective body experiences that engage all the senses.
