Jeppe Hein (b. 1974) is a Danish sculptor and kinetic artist based in Berlin. After an apprenticeship as a carpenter, he studied at Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi in Copenhagen and at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. Numerous institutions have hosted solo presentations of his work, including Portikus in Frankfurt am Main (2001), Sprengelmuseum in Hanover (2006), and Kunstmuseum Thun (2018). His project “Breath with me” was performed at the UN Headquarters and Central Park in New York City in 2019. Hein engages in artistic practices of awareness.
