Julia Voss (b. 1974) is an art historian, art critic, curator, and since 2021, a research associate in the presidency of the German Historical Museum in Berlin. Prior to this, she was co-curator of the DHM exhibition "documenta. Politics and Art." Since 2015, she has held an honorary professorship at the Institute for Philosophy and Art Studies at Leuphana University in Lüneburg. After being a fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin in 2016/17, Julia Voss returned to academic research to write the biography of Swedish artist Hilma af Klint, which was a SPIEGEL bestseller and made the 2020 shortlist for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize. In 2009, Julia Voss was awarded the Sigmund Freud Prize for scientific prose by the German Academy for Language and Literature. In 2022, Julia Voss was trained as a Sustainability Transformation Manager (IHK) by the Action Network for Sustainable Culture and Media.
