Kenneth Roth (b. 1955) is an American lawyer, who acted as CEO of Human Rights Watch from 1993 to 2022. He studied law at Brown University in Providence and Yale Law School in New Haven. Roth practiced as an attorney before becoming a federal prosecutor for the U.S. He publishes regularly on themes such as international law, anti-terrorism, politics of the superpowers, and the United Nations.
