Klaudia Schifferle (b. 1955) is a Swiss artist, musician and cofounder of the women’s band Kleenex / Liliput. Using oil, acrylic, watercolor, lacquer, and marker pen, Schifferle’s canvases and works on paper are known for their chaotic, colorful depictions of fantastical creatures and hybrid humans set against mythical backdrops. Her works were shown at the documenta 7 in Kassel and are included in a great many private and public collections. After extended sojourns in Milan and Ticino, she is back in her hometown, which awarded her the Zürich Art Prize in 2012.
