Maja Hoffmann (b. 1956) is a Swiss entrepreneur, film producer, art collector, and philanthropist. She studied film at The New School and at New York University in New York City. Hoffmann is an heiress of the pharmaceutical company Roche. In 2004, she founded the Luma foundation; in 2021, the Luma Arles was opend, offering artists a space for their artistic practice and research. Since 2024, Hoffmann is Director of the Locarno Film Festival.
