Michel Auder

Michel Auder (b. 1945) is a French photographer and filmmaker based in New York City. He studied at the Schule für Gestaltung in Basel. In the 1960s, Auder started film making, first in Paris and later in New York City, in the circle around the American artist Andy Warhol. His films and photographs have been shown at biennials and exhibitions, including the Whitney Biennial in New York City in 2000 and 2014 and Documenta 14 in Kassel (2017). In 2014, the movie “The Feature,” a fictional biography based on Auder’s life, was released.
