Michel Auder

Michel Auder (b. 1945) is a French photographer and film producer living and working in Brooklyn, New York. His fascination for images was initially inspired by Jean-Luc Godard and Andy Warhol. In the 1960s he started filming and the continuously growing archive provides the material for his work. Auder’s work has been the subject of institutional exhibitions, most recently at MoMa PS1, New York; Museum Brandhorst, Munich; Dokumenta, Kassel; Museum Ludwig, Cologne and Kunsthalle Basel.
