Mina Squalli-Houssaïni is a Swiss artist based in Geneva. Her work, primarily focused on sculpture and installation—while also exploring sound, video, and text—plays on the tension between industrial and commercial object-making processes and those rooted in craft traditions. The emblems and symbols she appropriates from representations of femininity and domesticity aim to evoke both her personal biography and collective memory. Alter-narratives are central to her practice, where fiction, personal experiences, history, and archives converge to create layered narratives. Her work has been exhibited at the Centre d’art de Neuchâtel, Liste Art Fair (Basel), Cherish (Geneva), Lodos (Mexico), Treize (Paris), and Karma International (Zurich). Together with Asma Barchiche, she has been co-directing the art space Forde since 2024.
