Wolf Singer (b. 1943) is a German neuroscientist and brain researcher. He studied medicine in Munich, Paris and Brighton and Hove. In 1975 he habilitated at the medical faculty of the Technische Universität München (TUM). He founded several research institutes, including the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies in 2004. In neuroscience, he is best known for his research on the physiological basis of attention and perception.
