Wu Tsang (b. 1982) is an American performance artist and filmmaker. She studied at School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Tsang’s best-known documentary “Wildness” (2012) documents an immigrant gay bar in Los Angeles. Together with Tosh Basco, she is part of the performance group “Moved by the motion” that is currently in residence at the Schauspielhaus in Zurich. Her work explores hidden histories, marginalized narratives, and the act of performing itself.
