BENJAMIN DILLENBURGER: BITS AND BRICKS

About the talk

Digitization in the field of construction is only just beginning. Benjamin Dillenburger’s research group is investigating how digital technologies can provide basic building blocks for architectural construction. What will the bricks of the future look like, who will put them together? How can we construct our future environment sustainably and carefully? Dillenburger presents 3D printers that are already being used to produce architectural elements, radically optimizing work processes and reducing material consumption by up to 70%.

“Our dream of a malleable material that follows our intentions as easily as language follows our thoughts will come true.”
