In response to increasing social isolation and individualism, Ernesto Neto calls upon ancient traditions and rituals such as singing, dancing and prayer. Together with Maja Hoffmann, founder of the Luma Foundation, he explores his working processes and the construction of the monumental installation “Healing Bug Acupun Earth” (2023) in the alpine village of Gstaad, as well as other joint projects. In the artist’s own words: “Let's stop eating hope.”
“We know very well that we are in this situation. That we are eating our lovely planet earth and that we have no idea how to get out of that.”
— Ernesto Neto
