Aïsha Devi sees herself as an outcast, a musical navigator of higher dimensions of reality. In a conversation with Hans Ulrich Obrist, the artist talks about how she was inspired by quantum physics and chanting techniques of Tibetan monks, and how music is her primal means of expression, allowing her to build a universe of her own. Music also serves her as a transcendental tool. Devi encourages the audience to connect to higher states of consciousness to overcome the materialism of the present.
“A shift can only happen if we make friends with uncertainty.”
