MICHEL AUDER AND ADAM SZYMCZYK: GARAGE OPERA

About the talk

Michel Auder looks back at the beginnings of his career and analyzes how the invention of the portable video recorder and contemporary events influenced his visual “journal intimes”. E.A.T. curator Bice Curiger and curator Adam Szymczyk visit Auder’s video installation “The Champfèr Garage Oper” (2019) that is displayed in a car park of an apartment building in Champfèr, a village in the Engadin valley.

“Talking about longue durée; this is almost more than sixty years of video recordings. Now that’s truly long durational.”
