The collaborative science and art project Atelier 21 looks to the past for existing inventions to facilitate the upcoming energy transition. Atelier 21 members Loïc Rogard and Cédric Carles reveal that ideas about renewable energy were already circulating at the turn of the 19th century. Their proposals range from transportable DJ booths to a self-sustaining school box and ways to recharge disposable batteries.
