Alexander Kluge pays tribute to Fernand Braudel, the French historian, who created the contept “Longue Durée.” With the film “Une histoire quasi-immobile” Kluge provides a visual interpretation of another term coined by Braudel: “Cosmo-histoire”. The term describes the understanding of human history within cosmic and geological timespans.
